Maggie is one of the firm’s cofounders. She has broad expertise in complex disputes and transactions. Her focus is on company, investment, labour and land laws and designing large-scale contracts. Her sector specialities are energy, agriculture, education and finance. Private practice aside, she has over 20 years of experience working for government and international organizations in the justice, health and education sectors. She serves as a Trustee on the board of trustees of the IBA Foundation, a council member of the rule of law committee for the East Africa Law Society and is a member of the Rwanda Leader’s Fellowship. She is passionate about mentoring young women professionals to maximize their potential and to live a balanced life while making tangible contributions to their communities. Maggie got her Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University, Uganda; a post-graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Uganda Law Development Center; a Master of Laws degree in Government Law and Public Policy from the University of the Pacific, California-USA.
